Arway to speak at Thursday's membership meeting
Arway

October's Membership Meeting features a talk by PA Fish and Boat Commission Executive Director John Arway. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Comfort Suites in State College.

John Arway will speak on the topic "Straight Talk From John Arway - Issues of Current Interest".  John, a 30-year veteran of the Commission, has been in PFBC's "top job" since March 2010, after serving as chief of Environmental Services Division in the Bureau of Fisheries.   He represents the Commission on numerous statewide committees and boards, including the PA Biological Survey's Steering Committee, PA Council of Trout Unlimited's Environmental Committee, the Governor's Green Government Council, Coldwater Heritage Partnership Program, and the Susquehanna River Smallmouth Bass Water Quality Workgroup.   John is a native of North Huntingdon, and holds degrees in biology from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S.) and Tennessee Tech University (M.S.).

CRPR/SCCTU trout fishing camp
