May General Meeting
Learn about nature photography with Mark Nale at our May general meeting! Mark Nale's all new program, Pennsylvania Wildlife - a Naturalist's View, will begin with nature photography tips that apply to cell phones as well as digital cameras. He will then show examples of how this advice goes together to make good photos by involving the audience in a tour of the Keystone State's wildlife -- both plant and animal.

Spring Creek Watershed Cleanup
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Join the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited on Saturday, April 20th for Clearwater Conservancy's annual Watershed Cleanup Day. Since 1997, volunteers have prevented more than 6 million pounds of trash from entering our local waterways! Thank you for keeping Central Pennsylvania clean and beautiful!
SCCTU has been participating in the event since its conception in 1997. On the day, members of the Chapter go to various sections of Spring Creek and cleanup trash from the water’s edge as well as from inside of the creek itself. It is a fantastic way to spend your Earth Day weekend!

April General Meeting: Bill Anderson
Come join us, it’s free!
Bill Anderson will be speaking at our April general meeting on the topic of fishing the Little Juniata. Bill has served as President and chair of the Little Juniata River Association (LJRA) since 2005. He's also a fly-fishing instructor/guide and an innovative fly tyer. Over the years, he has received numerous environmental/conservation awards for his efforts in preserving and enhancing the Little Juniata River. Additionally, Bill is the author of "Trout Boomer and the Little ‘j’ – The Story of a Fly Fisher and His Love for the Little Juniata River" and is credited with creating the CET (Crippled Emerger Transformer) fly pattern. His contributions extend to regional magazines and the PA Fly Fishing Museum Newsletter.

Chopped: Fly Tying Contest
Join the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited as we host out first ever "Chopped: Fly Tying Contest”. This is a free event.
SCCTU General Meeting
Our February General Meeting will be our State of the Chapter address followed by a New Zealand Mud Snail presentation by Nicole Flanders.

There will be a special screening of Live The Stream – The Story of Joe Humphreys to celebrate and raise money.
Annual Winery Event
The Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited is hosting our first meeting of the season at Mt. Nittany Vineyard and Winery on Thursday, September 7th. The event will start at 5:30 and run until about 7:30. The chapter will cover the cost of the venue, door prizes, and one drink per person. We are asking attendees to contribute $20 toward the cost of the meal.
Please register by Thursday, August 31 so we can give Clem's enough time to cook the barbeque.
This has historically been a great way to open our season. It gives a chance to socialize, tell fish stories and meet new folks. It is open to Chapter members and guests.
